A question that few really think about while traveling!

Richard I'Anson, featured in Tales by Light on Netflix mentioned, “I’ve always had the ability to feel comfortable wherever I am. I do my best to blend in, which isn’t easy given I’m a six-foot-tall white male. At a really simple level, travel photography provides a visual record of places visited. At its best, it can provide an insight to the world at large and all its diversity.”

As a travel photographer, someone documenting a culture, I’Anson tries to capture the culture, location, person, etc., and blending in is a given. As a tourist or traveler we have a choice.

What are your thoughts, as a tourist or traveler, should we make an effort to blend in or stand out?
